Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent post as Band 7 Practitioner in the Mental Health Liaison team for The Bay, based in Barrow in Furness.
Responsibilities
* The successful candidate will oversee assessments and treatment for patients on the MHLT pathway and clinical delivery of the service, which will involve offering timely and responsive assessments, working collaboratively with service users and their families, delivering high quality evidence-based approaches to care, and delivering collaborative care plans and risk assessments based on least restrictive practice.
* Be committed to delivering quality and reflect on the importance of the service user journey and experience.
* Contribute to the safe and effective running of the service as a central practitioner, with outstanding clinical skills and a commitment to providing a high quality, safe and effective service.
* Be encouraged to develop clinically and professionally, with training actively encouraged in effective leadership (7up Programme).
* Demonstrate a high level of emotional intelligence and the ability to be part of a cohesive MDT team; development and maintenance of key stakeholder relationships with CCGs, LSCFT partner services and Acute Hospitals is vital.
* Serve the whole multi-racial and multi-cultural community on the Furness and Cumbria, with demonstrable values and commitment to diversity and anti-discriminatory practice.
* Take on a leadership, mentoring, teaching and role model position; have a clear understanding of the Mental Health Act 2007 and detailed knowledge of all aspects of Adult Safeguarding.
* Engage in regular line management and clinical supervision; actively look at developing the successful applicant in this exciting role.
* This post is a 24/7 post including night shifts.

Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care. The Trust also provides a range of physical health and well-being services in the community alongside partners in the Lancashire, Cumbria and Sefton area.
