HR Assistant

We are seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented HR Assistant to support the HR Manager. The successful applicant will provide comprehensive administrative support to the HR Manager, ensuring the smooth running of HR processes across the employee lifecycle.
This is a brand new role that will grow with the successful applicant. It supports employees by maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and internal policies, and assisting with various administrative functions.

Prior experience within an HR position is desirable, but we also encourage those who are looking to start within HR to apply. The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
* Support recruitment processes by placing adverts, managing applicants and coordinating interview schedules.
* Maintain accurate employee records and ensure data integrity across various HR databases.
* Provide administrative support for onboarding, offboarding and other HR initiatives throughout the employee life‑cycle.
* Assist with the organisation of training sessions and employee engagement activities.
* Communicate effectively with internal and external teams to facilitate smooth HR operations.
* Provide support in meetings (taking notes or giving advice).
* Write and proof‑read policies and procedures.
* Lead induction of new staff.
* Act as liaison with GP practices regarding recruitment or concerns.
* Ensure close working relationships and information sharing with GP practices.
* Manage the HR inbox.
* Support Health and Safety activities.
Qualifications
* GCSE grade A‑C / 4 or higher in English
* GCSE grade A‑C / 4 or higher in Maths
Experience
* Experience working within an office or in a fast‑paced environment.
* Experience working in HR, or Primary Care, or GP Practice.
