Trent Precast specializes in the manufacture and delivery of structural precast concrete units based in the heart of the country in Nottingham.
Forklift Driver/ Yard Operative
Hours: Mon – Thu: 07:30 – 17:30. Friday: 07:30 – 14:30
The Role
Working within our warehouse and production facility, you will own the Goods In/Goods Out process. You’ll be responsible for the safe movement of materials, ensuring the factory stays fed and outbound shipments are loaded accurately.
Key Responsibilities
1. Heavy Lifting: Safely unload deliveries and containers using Forklifts
2. Dispatch: Securely pack, label, and prepare goods for outbound shipment; create accurate delivery notes.
3. Loading: Load wagons and trucks, ensuring all facade products are secured for transport.
4. Inventory & QC: Track incoming/outgoing shipments and inspect materials for damage.
5. Safety: Adhere to all Health & Safety guidelines in a fast-paced yard environment.
6. What We Need From You
7. Experience: Minimum 1 year in a similar Yard/Logistics role (Facade experience is a major plus).
8. Tickets: Valid Forklift
9. Tech Savvy: Proficient in MS Office (Excel/Outlook) for inventory tracking.
10. Mindset: Pro-active, high attention to detail, and a focus on Lean/5S standards.
11. Flexibility: Willing to assist with audits and other tasks as required by the business.
