Join to apply for the Staff Nurse role at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust.
We treat up to 180 patients per day via the SACT Day Unit and Peripheral Sites, offering treatments to all solid tumour disease groups at The Christie and peripheral sites including St Ann’s (Little Hulton), St Luke’s (Winsford), Tameside Macmillan Unit, Dr Kershaw’s (Oldham), and Bury Hospice.
Upon appointment, you will undergo a comprehensive 8-week supernumerary training package, gaining exposure to various anti-cancer treatments across different disease groups, and completing the UKONS passport. You will experience working with patients with potentially curative, palliative, and clinical trial treatments.
The induction program also offers opportunities to work at our SACT peripheral sites and within nurse-led clinics such as pre-assessment, pre-treatment consultation, and oral SACT clinics.
We are an innovative unit committed to developing patient-centered practices. We welcome nurses with a genuine passion for caring for patients in oncology and chemotherapy.
Our hours are Monday to Saturday, 8am-8pm (Monday-Friday), 8am-6pm (Saturday), including Bank Holidays, with various shift patterns available.
Note: We currently do not support the OSCE process.
