MainPurpose of Job
To provide PE andafter school coaching in schools to children in Key Stage 1& 2. You will also be asked to deliver multisport coachingsessions to children young people and adults.
Thepost holder needs to be flexible and will work irregular hours(e.g. evenings & weekends) given the nature of the role.Most session will take place in the Berkshire area orSurrey.
Responsibilities
Todeliver a variety of multisport sessions professionally and withthe flexibility to ensure all participants are offered coaching ata level appropriate to their ability and support needs.
Develop relationships with participants teaching staffand parents.
Keep up to date monitoring includingregisters VIEWS database risk assessments and any relevantreporting documents.
To lead on the delivery in our keypartnership schools
To access all quality assurance andstaff training offered by the Trust during the term ofemployment.
To ensure all equipment is available and wellmaintained.
Understand and comply with the organisationschild protection and safeguarding policies.
Abide by aprofessional code of conduct that emphasises appropriate behaviourwhen interacting with participants.
Follow establishedprotocols for data protection and privacy.
Act as a pointof contact in emergency situations providing assistance and guidingindividuals to safety.
Coordinate with relevantauthorities and emergency services as necessary.
Stayinformed about safeguarding policies procedures and bestpractices.
Participate in training sessions related tosafeguarding and emergency response.
Report anysafeguarding concerns promptly to the appropriate authorities ordesignated personnel.
Maintain accurate records ofincidents concerns and actions taken.
Effectivelycommunicate with staff clients and visitors to promote a culture ofsafety and awareness.
Act as a liaison between differentdepartments regarding safeguarding matters.
Collaboratewith other team members and departments to create a cohesiveapproach to safeguarding.
Participate in and stay up todate with relevant child protection training andworkshops.
Ensure the safety of participants by providingadequate supervision during all sports activities.
Beprepared to respond to emergencies promptly including administeringfirst aid and following established emergencyprocedures.
Maintain accurate records including attendanceincidents and any concerns related to the wellbeing ofparticipants.
EssentialCriteria
Minimum Level 1 or abovesports coaching qualification
Safeguarding Certificate
Emergency Aid Certificate
Current DBS
Minimum 2 years experience in delivering PE CurriculumCoaching
Ability to work under own initiative and as partof a team
Excellent communication and interpersonalskills to establish and maintain good working relationships
Experience in planning and delivering sports activitiesin curriculumbased PE and after school club environments
Experience in understanding and commitment to physicaleducation sport and longterm athlete development
Abilityto travel to variety of workplaces within West London utilising owntransport
