Business Development Manager

Uplands OneTelco is growing and seeking experienced sales professionals to join our collaborative and innovative team.


The Role: Business Development Manager (Full Time)

Location: Hybrid (Dependent on location). This role offers flexibility with remote work, with one fixed day a week reporting to our Swansea Head Office.

Hours: 37.5 per week (Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:00)

Salary: £27,000 to £58,800 per annum, based on experience, performance, and eligibility for a company car allowance. This includes a base salary of £27,000 to £30,000 and an OTE of £54,000+ with uncapped bonuses, allowing you to achieve maximum earnings potential.

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in driving business growth. Your duties will involve identifying, cultivating, and securing new business opportunities by showcasing our top-tier telco solutions. To excel in this position, you will immerse yourself in new prospects daily, constantly seeking out fresh leads and potential clients within the B2B realm.

What We're Looking For


• Experienced Professionals: Minimum of two years in business-to-business sales.

• Industry Background: Preferably experience in telecoms sales, such as mobile phones, cloud phone systems, or internet connectivity, though not mandatory.

• Results-Driven: Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.

• Strong Communicator: Excellent at building and maintaining relationships.

• Team Player with Initiative: Able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

• Tech-Savvy: Experience using CRM systems and familiarity with Microsoft software.


Key Responsibilities


• Sales Generation: Identify, nurture, and secure sales opportunities (New Business Customers) through various channels, including outbound calls, networking, events, LinkedIn, and customer referrals.

• Lead the Sales Process: Manage the entire sales journey from opportunity identification to deal closure.

• Pipeline Management: Develop and expand your own pipeline of prospects, maintaining detailed information within our CRM.

• Client Engagement: Present Uplands OneTelco services persuasively to potential clients.

• Achieve Sales Targets: Consistently meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales KPIs.

• Client Meetings: Conduct meetings with clients and prospects via MS Teams, building compelling proposals to close deals. Occasional in-person visits may be required.

• Bill Analysis: Conduct bill analysis to showcase the commercial benefits of choosing Uplands OneTelco.


What You'll Recieve


• Hybrid Role Optional: Enjoy flexible working arrangements with remote work options. This role requires a minimum of one day per week at our Swansea Head Office, depending on your location.

• Competitive Salary: £27,000 to £30,000 per annum, negotiable based on experience, with an OTE of £54,000+ (uncapped bonuses) and potential total earnings up to £58,800, including a negotiable company car allowance.
