Purpose of the role
We are seeking an experienced Learning & Development Partner to join our HR Support Services team at our Solihull head office (B37 7YB), with UK travel required. You will lead our training initiatives, ensuring compliance, and fostering growth across all organizational levels.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to influence learning strategies, collaborate with stakeholders, and support career development within Colas.
Main Responsibilities
Work with business leaders to identify training needs, manage training requests, and maintain accurate records. Support the implementation of L&D strategies, design and deliver leadership programs, evaluate training effectiveness, and manage relationships with training providers. Assist with apprenticeship and graduate programs, audits, budgets, and ensure training matrices align with our Learning Management System. Contribute to continuous improvement of L&D processes, systems, and policies.
Ideal Candidate
Minimum CIPD Level 3 qualification in Learning and Development, with proven experience in a consultative or specialist L&D role. Strong understanding of the full learning cycle, talent development, stakeholder management, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems. Experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment is essential. Knowledge of apprenticeships and industry standards is desirable; experience in construction or industrial sectors is a plus.
