Due to continued success, we are recruiting for a Trainee Terminal Controller to work at our Northampton Gateway Rail Freight Terminal depot. This role will have two shift patterns, AM and PM.

The role:
* Face to face dealings with drivers, booking both loaded and empty units in and out of the terminal
* Adding both train arrivals and departures to the system
* Dealing with yard operations over a 2-way radio
* Dealing with customers both on the telephone and by email
* Chasing down units to rail to maximise the train capacity, ensuring no wagons go out empty.
* Administrative duties – checks carried out to try and capture any mistakes that may have occurred and correcting these before any credit notes are required.
* Liaising with our transport team
