The Manufacturing Engineer fulfills a significant advisory and leadership role in the design and implementation of the production processes.
They are responsible for maintaining and improving the efficiency and quality of the production processes in terms of Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.
They also provide a link between design engineering and the realization of that design into volume manufacture.
Qualifications
* HND in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering is essential.
* Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering is desirable.
* Knowledge of Six Sigma (e.g., yellow or green belt) advantageous.
* Knowledge of MRP ERP systems is essential.
Additional Information
* Previous role experience in a microelectronics environment covering Assembly, Test and Inspection operations.
* Previous knowledge of clean room working practices.
* Previous working knowledge of manufacturing systems including creation of job routings, standard time calculations and yield.
* The ability to work well under pressure whether alone or as part of the production team.
* Strong communication skills.
* Sound problem‑solving skills.
* In‑depth knowledge of manufacturing production and processes.
* Familiarity with a wide range of assembly and testing techniques.
* Awareness of machine capabilities and the need for preventative maintenance.
