John Sisk & Son are seeking a Document Controller to join our Flood Defence project based in Derby. This role is part of our Sisk Infrastructure Business Unit.
The Document Controller will oversee the Project Document Management system and digital field tools, implement information management strategies, and provide training and support to project teams and end users.
Responsibilities include:
1. Managing and hosting Dalux training sessions for new users within the project team, both in groups and individually.
2. Serving as the main contact for support and coaching of project users of Dalux, including third parties such as client teams, designers, and subcontractors.
3. Developing project file naming protocols in collaboration with the information systems manager and project team, adhering to DPD protocols.
4. Developing workflows with the ISM and managing them throughout the project lifecycle, following DPD procedures.
5. Creating forms, tasks, and other items on DFT (FV) in line with DPD procedures and site requirements.
6. Configuring and implementing change control processes within the CDE.
7. Validating, checking, and curating all incoming and outgoing project documentation within the CDE, including receipt, classification, verification, registry, distribution, and retrieval.
8. Configuring and preparing status reports on workflows, sample submissions, TQs, RFIs, and other reportable data.
9. Preparing and configuring distribution matrices to meet project requirements.
10. Establishing and maintaining central site files, uncontrolled drawings, and registers.
11. Compiling operation and maintenance, health and safety, quality, environmental, and BCAR files.
12. Attending meetings to engage with the team and stakeholders.
13. Experience working on projects with large volumes of data from various sources.
14. Advanced experience with a CDE and DFT.
15. Proficiency in using Dalux system.
16. Ability to effectively communicate and educate stakeholders on DPD protocols, ensuring strict adherence.
17. Experience working with multidisciplinary design teams, client teams, subcontractors, and the wider supply chain.
18. Understanding of naming conventions aligned with ISO 19650.
19. Experience on projects exceeding £30,000.
20. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite.
21. Knowledge of BS 1192, PAS 1192, or ISO 19650 standards.
22. Proficiency in Dalux or similar platforms.
