We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Building Services team in Cambridge.
Working as a Quantity Surveyor you will provide commercial support for a project, working closely with the operational teams.
What you'll do:
1. Understand the contractual requirements of project documents including the roles and responsibilities of all involved and the notices required to record change etc. Coordinate any responses required with Commercial Manager.
2. Liaise with the client, client representatives and other 3rd parties on commercial issues, including the agreement of additional monies.
3. Cost management for project/section of worksUnderstand allowances for elements of work (preliminaries, materials, subcontract etc.)Understanding of cost to end of reporting period and comparison with allowanceUnderstand forecast cost to completion
4. Value management for project/section of worksPrepare interim and final accountsUnderstanding of forecasting and reporting systems and procedures including ICON, Craft, CVR, Cash forecast, Profit forecast, PFFR, Bell curve sign posts etc.
What you'll bring to the role:
5. A comprehensive level of commercial experience preferably with a contracting organisation.
6. BSc or HND in Quantity Surveying or other equivalent construction related subject
7. Preferably qualified to ICES or RICS accreditation
8. Relevant CSCS Card
