Role Overview:
Location: Edinburgh (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
Package: £67,840 – £90,000 + annual bonus & benefits

What You'll Be Doing:
Leading forecasting and stress testing activity to support internal planning and regulatory submissions
Ensuring impairment adequacy across planning and stress scenarios, with strong governance and control
Driving initiatives to optimise capital and impairment performance across portfolios
Analysing complex risk data to identify drivers of impairment and Risk-Weighted Assets
Translating business questions into structured, data-led investigations and clear recommendations
Producing short-term forecasts and tracking performance against actuals to enhance decision-making
Presenting insights to senior stakeholders, tailoring messaging for both technical and non-technical audiences
Supporting integration and collaboration across wider risk measurement teams
Managing multiple priorities and delivering high-quality outputs within agreed timelines
Main Skills Needed:
Strong experience in stress testing and RWA calculations
Solid understanding of impairment and capital frameworks within a regulated banking environment
Advanced analytical capability, including problem structuring and hypothesis-driven analysis
Hands-on experience with data tools such as SAS, SQL, Python or similar
Confident communicator with experience influencing senior stakeholders
Ability to manage projects and prioritise effectively across competing demands
