Mane energy are working with a leading EPC company who are looking for an Instrument Technician to join them on a fixed term basis.
Duration:12 Month Contract
Location: Aberdeen
Rotation 3 on 4 off

Duties:
* Actively support a working environment based on respect for health, safety and environmental issues and maintenance of a high level of asset integrity.
* Participate as a member of the Instrument Supervisor’s team in delivering performance against targets
* Build effective working relationships with other departments and shifts.
* Maintains emergency shutdown equipment.
* Responsible for completing verification assurance and maintenance routines and maintaining quality records.
* Carries out fault finding and repairs on communications, control and instrument systems, whist observing and complies with safety rules and regulations, including the permit to work system.
* Act as nominated person responsible for small bore tubings and fittings (RTP) as directed.
* Provides a source of technical expertise to operate, fault find and maintain the process control systems, ensuring that all planned maintenance is completed on the equipment for which they are responsible.
Experience:
* 3 Years experience in a similar role
* Relevant offshore certificates.
* S/NVQ Process Engineering Maintenance (Instrument and Control) Level 3 or equivalent
* Detailed knowledge of instrument maintenance practices applicable to offshore oil and gas assets, associated technical standards and relevant legislation.
* Experience of maintenance scheduling, organising, coordinating and controlling/monitoring work.
* Experience in the administration, control and use of “Safe Systems of Work” (PTW) including permit to work procedures.
* Ability to conduct fault finding, installation, isolation and re-instatement on communications, control and instrument systems.
* Experience in gas compression.
* Knowledge of fire and gas detection, ESD systems and small-bore tubing maintenance and inspection.
