This is a great opportunity for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a supportive engineering team, working alongside the existing engineer to strengthen maintenance coverage and support the next phase of site development. This role would suit a hands-on Maintenance Engineer who enjoys fault finding, improving machinery performance and being part of a close-knit team. Responsibilities of a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer: Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across blow moulding and plastics manufacturing equipment Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime Support continuous improvement of plant reliability and engineering standards Work closely with the existing engineer to strengthen engineering support across the site Assist with machinery upgrades, modifications and future expansion projects Support production teams to maximise plant uptime and operational efficiency Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and to a high standard Participate in out-of-hours engineering support where required Skills & Qualifications of a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer: Multi-skilled engineer with a balanced mechanical and electrical background, stronger electrical capability preferred Level 3 engineering qualification preferred, although Level 2 engineers with the right attitude will be considered Experience within manufacturing or industrial maintenance environments Strong fault-finding skills across electrical and mechanical systems Experience within plastics, packaging or blow moulding manufacturing advantageous Positive attitude, proactive approach and willingness to develop Ability to work independently and within a small engineering team Benefits of a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer: Monday to Thursday: 14:00 – 22:00 Friday: 06:00 – 14:00 Initial training period on days before moving onto afternoons 22 days holiday Bank holidays Optional Christmas shutdown Supportive and close-knit engineering team Genuine progression opportunities as the business continues to grow Opportunity to join during a period of expansion and investment Potential Saturday call-out support If you feel this Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer role is right for you, please contact Rebecca Prince or Keeley Mobley at Maintech Recruitment for more information or click apply.
