The Opportunity
We are now recruiting for a Contracts & Procurements Manager to join our team on a 9 month Fixed Term contract basis.
You’ll be supported with personalised on the job training, coaching, mentoring and twice-yearly development and performance reviews to help maintain & develop your contributions and competence.
Responsibilities
* The primary purpose of the Contracts & Procurement Manager is to analyse the supply chain of an established organisation in order to make cost savings on 3rd party spend to reduce their opex.
* Mapping the client’s supply chain.
* Building rapport with the client.
* Review (in both scope and cost terms) the current supply chain and formulate a data‑driven plan to achieve cost reduction that is attractive to the client.
* Work to challenging SMART targets.
* Act as the bridge between the client and px corporate procurement.
* Offer cross‑functional guidance on procurement & contracts to the client’s wider site team.
* Develop and implement high value, high risk contracts including commercial negotiation.
* Liaise with legal teams when implementing contracts where necessary.
* Build relationships and rapport with budget holders and end users.
* Gain an understanding of, and comply with procedures and processes.
* Ensure supply chain compliance is in line with the client’s requirements and expectations.
* Subject matter expert for supply chain contracts.
* Provide in‑depth reporting to Group Procurement Manager and the client.
* Provide input into the development and delivery of the Annual Budget.
Minimum Requirements
* Qualified or working towards CIPS or relevant industry experience.
* GSCEs A‑C grades including Maths & English or equivalent level qualifications.
* Experience of managing high value ITTs and contract implementation and leading and guiding others.
* Both Contract and procurement experience.
* Developing and managing the contracts process.
* Knowledge of terms and conditions.
* Advising on forms of contract.
* Proven track record in cost reduction.
* Developing and advising on contracting strategies.
* Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
* Strong leadership and communication abilities, with a track record of cross‑functional collaboration.
