We are looking for a Full Time Transport Shift Manager to join our team at Portbury.
As a Transport Shift Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of the day-to-day transport operations at the site, ensuring the operation is running smoothly, and supporting the Transport Operation Manager with a variety of tasks that add value to the operation.

Role details:
Salary: £39,000
Hours: 6.00am to 6.00pm
Working pattern: 4 days on / 4 days off
Location: Portbury, BS20 7XR
What you’ll do:
Your key accountabilities will include:
9. Maintaining a safe and friendly working environment for all employees, agency and subcontractors
10. Own the recruitment, induction, absence management, well-being meetings &121s process, including disciplinaries, grievances and investigations within the transport department
11. Ensuring effective communication within the transport teams through meetings and briefings
12. Responsible for delivery of operational KPIs. Maintain and improve performance levels to maximise efficiency of operation in line with account KPI's
Who you are:
Your skills and experience will include:
13. Thorough knowledge and hands on experience of a transport function within the FMCG Distribution Industry
14. A background operating at a management level is a must
15. Transport CPC – desirable
16. A passion for encouraging teamwork, focusing on creating an innovative culture where all employees can voice their suggestions and ideas
17. Excellent team management skill for developing you team
18. An analytical mind-set
19. Flexibility to cover a variety of shift patterns in the future
20. You'll come in to contact with Trade Unions (previous experience with this would be beneficial)
