Our client are recruiting for a Financial Controller / Accountant to work for our client in Shipley. The Financial Controller will play a key role in managing the company’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, improving internal controls, and providing strategic financial insights to senior leadership. This is a hands-on position with the opportunity to make a significant impact in a growing organisation. Salary: £43,000 - £50,000 depending on experience Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 5.00pm Duties: * Oversee all financial accounting and reporting activities * Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements * Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes * Manage cash flow and working capital * Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls * Coordinate year-end audit and liaise with external auditors * Support strategic planning and business decision-making through financial analysis * Sales Ledger duties Requirements: * Financially qualified in one or more of the following; AAT, CIMA, ACCA, ACA * Proven experience as a Financial Controller, or similar senior finance role * Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards (e.g., IFRS or GAAP) * Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Sage) and advanced Excel skills * Strong leadership and communication abilities * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment * Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail This role would suit someone from a senior Finance role, such as; Finance Controller / Finance Manager / Head of Finance / Management Accountant / Senior Bookkeeper / Financial Manager / Financial Advisor / Head of Accounting
