Are you an experienced Design Engineer within the Manufacturing Industry?
Inform3 are recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer with at least 3+ years’ experience in Design Engineering that has an excellent knowledge and understanding of hydraulics and electrical systems.
This is a great opportunity to join a global company who are widely recognised for specialising in recycling products within the Manufacturing Environment.
Duties Include
* Design and develop mechanical systems and components for industrial shredding equipment.
* Produce detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings using CAD software.
* Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, specifications, and safety requirements.
* Liaise with production, procurement, and project teams to ensure efficient and cost-effective design solutions.
* Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and validation processes.
* Support the introduction of new products from concept through to manufacture.
* Maintain accurate engineering documentation and manage design changes.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across design and manufacturing processes.
Skills & Experience Required
* Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
* Demonstrable experience in a design engineering role, preferably within heavy machinery or industrial equipment.
* Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, Inventor or similar).
* Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and fabrication techniques.
* Ability to interpret and produce detailed technical drawings and specifications.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to engineering challenges.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
