Description Relief Mobile Library Driver / Assistant - LGV | 8807 | Variable Hours Contract | £13.69 per hour (Scale E) | Norfolk We would like to hear from LGV Class C or CE and C1 drivers who would like to join our relief register. We operate an internal relief register for drivers who fill in for our regular staff providing cover for our Mobile library service on an as and when required and available basis. Do you have a category C driving licence? Do you have a Driver Qualification Card? Are you one of those people that can work on their own initiative? Are you well organised and enthusiastic about providing a service? Currently we operate Mobile Libraries from Dersingham, East Dereham and Hethersett and if you apply, you’ll need to tell us which locations you would be happy to work from. The role of a Mobile Library driver involves checking the vehicle, making sure it is well stocked and following the route timetable for the day. You will be serving the public, helping them choose books from the vehicle and assisting with information requests, so the ability to deliver great customer across the community is really important. To be considered for this post you will need to be able to demonstrate you can work with people, have basic computer skills, have some cash handling experience, enthusiasm and can work on your own initiative. An LGV - Class C or C E driving licence is essential for this position as is a Driver Qualification Card. Please note a category C1 licence is not acceptable for this post. A flexible approach to working arrangements is also essential as evenings and late afternoons will be needed. Applicants will require GCSE level of education or equivalent or relevant experience. Basic Computer and keyboard skills are also required.
