Why this role matters
As a Primary School Improvement Adviser, you will support school leaders to drive rapid and sustained improvement. You will provide expert challenge and guidance to raise pupil achievement across the primary phase. You will lead a specialist area of school improvement and contribute to training, consultancy and wider income generating work delivered by the service. Your work will directly influence the quality of education in schools across Kent and beyond.
What you’ll be doing
Collaborate with a team of highly motivated and dedicated professionals, all committed to driving continuous improvement in school performance.
Take on a key role as the named Improvement Adviser for schools, providing expert consultancy support both within Kent and in other regions.
Leverage your skills and interests to enhance our training programs and extend our support offerings for schools.
Engage with a diverse range of schools and school leaders, broadening your professional experience and impact.
Contribute to improving the life chances of children and young people across Kent and beyond.
Occasionally work in a more intensive capacity with schools, serving as a consultant leader to facilitate rapid improvement.
What we’re looking for
Proven experience as a Headteacher, Executive Headteacher, Ofsted Inspector, School Adviser or Senior Leader in Education.
Demonstrable experience leading improvements within your current educational role and experience supporting several schools.
Previous experience using the Education Inspection Framework to bring about improvements.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently with an eye for detail.
Capability and willingness to travel to multiple school locations.
Full UK Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle.
