This is an excellent opportunity for a planner with consultancy or private-sector experience who is looking to take on greater responsibility, work with a diverse client base, and accelerate their career within a supportive and commercially focused environment. The Role As a Senior Planner, you'll be involved in a wide range of planning projects across residential, commercial, logistics, mixed-use, and strategic land sectors. You'll manage your own caseload while supporting senior colleagues on complex schemes and helping to develop client relationships. Key responsibilities include: Managing planning applications and appeals from submission through to determination. Preparing planning appraisals, statements, and supporting reports. Advising clients on planning strategy, development opportunities, and planning risks. Building and maintaining relationships with local authorities, consultants, and key stakeholders. Attending client meetings, public consultations, and planning committee hearings. Supporting business development activities and contributing to new work opportunities. Mentoring junior planners and assisting with team development. About You We're keen to speak with candidates who have: MRTPI status or are close to achieving chartership. Experience within a planning consultancy, developer, or private-sector environment. Strong knowledge of the UK planning system and development management process. Excellent report writing and communication skills. The confidence to manage projects and engage directly with clients. A proactive and commercially minded approach to planning.
