Kitchen Surveyor/Designer | Birmingham, Coventry & West Midlands areas | 3-5 days per week, Monday to Friday (no weekends required) | Self-Employed Position | Starting salary from £130 per day + mileage expenses. Salary depending on experience & location
Our Clients works closely with their partnered Kitchen Manufacturers & Contractors to provide them with the very best in-situ Kitchen Survey & Design service in multiple locations throughout the UK. Their work mainly consists of long term projects within the Social Housing sector, working on large scale Kitchen improvement programmes for Local Authorities & Housing Associations within Tenanted homes.
Responsibilities
* Provide in-situ Kitchen Survey & Design services for tenanted homes, using Fusion 2020 CAD, Unity or similar kitchen design software.
* Deliver high-quality, right-first-time kitchen designs in occupied properties, aligned with agreed design briefs/specifications.
* Collaborate with partnered Contractors on Main Improvement Programmes and liaise with Contractors, Clients and Tenants.
* Manage your own diary and coordinate site addresses in advance; maintain clear proactive communication.
* Travel to sites as required with occasional overnight stays; own car is essential and mileage allowance is payable.
* Follow current regulations (specifically Gas) and good practice guidelines set by Social Housing providers to ensure safe and practical kitchen designs in tenanted homes.
* Operate as a self-employed professional with a day rate + mileage allowance; provide administration tasks from home after site visits.
Qualifications
* Experience completing in-situ kitchen designs within occupied properties.
* Experience using Fusion 2020 CAD, Unity or similar kitchen design software.
* Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PDF and Outlook).
* Strong time management, customer service skills, and ability to liaise with Contractors, Clients and Tenants.
* Right First Time approach with ability to follow a design brief/specification in advance.
* Familiarity with current regulations (Gas) and social housing guidelines; safe, practical kitchen design experience in tenanted homes.
* Own car required; mileage allowance payable.
