We are recruiting for a SUPPLIER ASSISTANT to join an International Logistics organisation based in Burton-On-Trent.
The position of SUPPLIER ASSISTANT will be starting in the March of 2026 and interviews will start Jan/Feb for the right candidate, and the hours of work are Monday to Friday 8.30 5.30pm offering a salary of £28,000-£30,000 depending on experience.
The SUPPLIER ASSISTANT will:
Manage external transport providers involves overseeing compliance, supplier/customer liaison, and meticulous record-keeping, all while ensuring adherence to transport laws and safety standards for efficient, legal, and cost-effective operations.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Compliance & Legal:
1. Carrier Management EU, NON EU and UK markets
2. Knowledge of markets, timings and service levels.
3. F/L, H/L, Groupage freight, same day express, urgent hand carrier.
4. Full pricing and good margin negotiations.
5. Strong communications skills.
Follow the companies supplier selection & approval process creation of supplier accounts within the company
Continual monitoring of legal compliance utilising various database
Monitoring of compliance to company policy and performance targets
Identify areas for development of new suppliers or extension of existing suppliers in line with the key strategic needs of the business.
