3. Manage a portfolio of private clients, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tax compliance work.
4. Provide expert advice on personal tax planning, including inheritance tax and capital gains tax.
5. Act as the main point of contact for clients, addressing queries and building strong professional relationships.
6. Review and approve the work of junior team members, providing guidance and mentorship where needed.
7. Ensure compliance with relevant tax legislation and regulations at all times.
8. Identify tax-saving opportunities and advise clients accordingly.
9. Support the firm's business development activities by identifying potential new clients or services.
10. Collaborate with other departments to provide a seamless service for clients with complex needs.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Personal Tax Manager should have:
11. Relevant qualifications such as ATT or CTA, or equivalent experience in personal tax management.
12. Strong technical knowledge of tax legislation, particularly in inheritance tax and capital gains tax.
