Are you at the beginning of your journey to train as a registered clinician such as a clinical psychologist, nurse, or occupational therapist? Are you passionate about upholding the human rights of people with complex mental health and behavioural needs? Do you already have some experience in a support or care role and seek more opportunities for supervision and delivering evidence-based interventions? If so, we invite suitable candidates to apply for several exciting new roles across Ludlow Street Healthcare.

Please note: this role involves shift patterns – days, nights, and weekends, with 12-hour shifts.

The role of Positive Practice Worker is central to our strategy to provide truly person-centred, evidence-based, and human rights-driven care. This is a direct care role within a clinical environment, working in shift rotas. You will have allocated supernumerary time to complete role-specific tasks. You will ensure all service areas have access to staff dedicated to maintaining adherence to person-centred and positive behaviour support plans, promoting outcomes-focused care. You will work within one of our services, acting as a guide and advisor to staff, supporting structured support plans, and liaising with clinical teams to ensure interventions are delivered, care plans are co-produced with service users and families, and outcome data is monitored regularly.

To succeed, you should have an interest in or aspiration towards clinical psychology or a related discipline. Awareness of current policies on person-centred practice, values-based care, and reducing restrictive interventions is important. Experience working with individuals with mental health and learning disabilities is desirable.

This development role aims to support early-career individuals to progress into postgraduate clinical training or related careers. We promote continuous learning and supervision, offering regular team supervision from qualified clinical staff and individual supervision from our operations team. Successful candidates will rotate through different services to gain diverse experience before further training.

What do we offer at Iris Care Group?

* £14.05 per hour
* Fully paid comprehensive training
* Paid DBS check
* Employee wellbeing assistance, including free counselling for employees and immediate family
* Ongoing professional development and succession opportunities
* Up to 33 days annual leave, depending on role and long service
* Paid Blue Light Card
* Supportive and welcoming team environment
* Recognition platform: “Recognise Me”
* Death in service benefit

Candidates must complete physical intervention training as part of this role.

This role is not eligible for the skilled worker visa route.
