This role will act as the focal point for data reporting needs, champion the use of AI-driven insights, and drive system optimisation through collaboration and innovation.This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your data expertise, drive innovation and make a meaningful impact within a forward-thinking organisation!**Key responsibilities:*** Define and maintain key semantic data models to support PowerBI reporting and CoPilot for PowerBI insights.* Ensure semantic models are governed and represent a single point of truth across the organisation.* Collaborate with internal and third-party stakeholders to define technical controls that support robust data governance.* Ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations.* Lead development of PowerBI dashboards and data connections.* Work with the wider team to design and deploy CoPilot agents that deliver measurable business value.* Act as the technical lead and mentor for CoPilot and PowerBI usage.* Promote adoption and best practices across departments.* Analyse business systems and processes to identify opportunities for improvement.* Recommend and implement enhancements or replacements using AI and automation.**Collaboration with Third Party**A third party will be consulted for the following: -* Microsoft Fabric expertise* Data connection architecture* Governance strategy and advisory* Ongoing support and guidance for key ideas and technical direction**Skills and Experience:*** Proven experience in PowerBI development and semantic modelling* Strong understanding of data governance principles, DAX models and Power Query* Experience with SQL and relational databases* Familiarity with CoPilot for PowerBI and CoPilot agent development* Ability to mentor and coach technical and non-technical stakeholders* Experience in system analysis and optimisation using AI tools* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills* Prior experience with ERP systems and analysing data from ERP systems will be considered an advantage**Key Competencies:*** Self-motivated and proactive.* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.* Ability to understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions.* High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI.* Good understanding of data governance and security principles.**Other requirements:*** SC cleared or ability to obtain* This is a hybrid role based in Milton Keynes, with occasional travel to other UK sites as required.**What we can offer you:*** Flexible working practices – we work a 9-day fortnight, offer flexitime, and work a half day Friday* 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays) with the option to buy up to 5 additional days* Health cash plan – cash back for everyday health expenses* Pension scheme with 6% employer contributions* Life assurance – 4 x annual salary* Reward and recognition platform* Discount platform – retail, leisure, gym discounts and more* Employee assistance programme with access to confidential counselling services* Support for further training and educationSpectrum Control is a global leader in managing and controlling the electromagnetic spectrum.
