Are you ready to make a real difference in people's lives? We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate NMP or Pharmacist Prescriber to join our Wiltshire service for a 12-month maternity cover. At our integrated community drug and alcohol service, you’ll be part of a dynamic team dedicated to supporting individuals across Wiltshire. In this role, you’ll work under the guidance of our Clinical Services Manager and Clinical Lead, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of Clinical Team members, Team Managers, Recovery Workers, and Volunteers. Together, you’ll empower individuals to change their lives for the better! Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Non-Medical Prescriber (NMP) or Pharmacist Prescriber, you will: Conduct opiate substitute treatment (OST) interventions. Manage benzodiazepine reductions and alcohol/opiate detoxifications. Administer detoxification medications and provide health care assessments. Perform Blood Borne Virus (BBV) screenings and vaccinations. Collaborate closely with mental health, physical health, and social care services. Attend local prescribers meetings and national clinician meetings for continuous professional development. With full training and supervision provided, you’ll have the chance to shape service delivery and contribute to clinically excellent services. Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will be: Registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council or a qualified Pharmacist with independent prescriber qualifications. Confident in managing all aspects of prescribing for opiates and alcohol detoxifications. An excellent communicator who is highly organized and capable of developing creative, flexible support packages tailored to individual needs.
