We are excited to offer a fixed term Speciality Doctor post in Neurology, created to support the expansion of our service. This is an excellent opportunity to join our team who deliver high-quality neurological care across Hampshire.
About the Team: You will join a team of experienced Consultant Neurologists and a dedicated specialist nursing team with expertise in MS, MND, Parkinson’s Disease, Epilepsy, and Neurorehabilitation. The role is supported by an administrative team.
Main duties of the job

1. Provide outpatient neurology clinics and respond to inpatient referrals.
2. Participate in clinical governance, neuro-radiology meetings, and CPD activities.
3. Contribute to service development, education of junior staff, and multidisciplinary team working.

Professional Qualifications
Essential criteria
4. Full GMC with a licence to practice
5. Broad experience in all aspects of Neurology
6. Sufficient postgrad experience in clinical Neurology
7. Holder of Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT), or within six months of award of CCT or equivalent by date of interview
Desirable criteria
8. Previous NHS experience
9. Attended appropriate training courses
Clinical Experience & Knowledge
Essential criteria
10. Experienced with clinic audit and clinical governance
Desirable criteria
11. Demonstrable sub-specialty interest
12. Evidence of audit/QI projects that changed practice
Research and Teaching
Essential criteria
13. Experience of teaching (medical students, peers, MDT)
Desirable criteria
14. Research degree (PhD/MD etc)
15. Publication in peer-reviewed journals
