Bolt Technical are hiring for our client a leading national service provider of refrigeration, air conditioning, and mechanical/electrical services. Facilities Maintenance Manager Northern Region Location: Remote/Field Based between Manchester & Liverpool (M62 Corridor) Salary: £55,000£60,000 per annum Benefits: Company car or Car allowance option, 25 days annual leave bank holidays, phone/laptop provided Reporting to: Regional Senior Manager Head Office Visits: 2 Required per month - Birkenhead With a headcount of 180 across 3 UK offices, our client delivers complete installation, repair, maintenance, and servicing solutions for major commercial and industrial clients across the UK. Their core customer base includes household names in retail and food distribution. The Role This is a key leadership position covering the Northern Region, managing various different site operations within your region, project delivery, and a team of engineers and project managers. Youll oversee technical service delivery, drive performance, and work closely with both internal teams and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage regional operations to meet business and service objectives Provide technical knowledge and assistance to engineers and clients Assisting with the development & implementation of H&S, Quality and Training requirements with our H&S team Conducting site surveys, quoting reactive calls and tendering for maintenance contracts Ensure reliable performance of mechanical and electrical systems, including logic controllers Collaborate with subcontractors, clients, and cross-functional teams Conduct process assessments, implement improvements, and ensure compliance Review schematics and resolve technical issues Profitably management of works completed (contracts \ reactive etc) Develop new business Visit & develop links with existing clients Prepare and present regional performance reports to senior leadership Participate in an escalation duty rota (1 week every 6) The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Technical background - AC \ HVAC, Gas or Electrical biased ideally Strong leadership experience in technical services or facilities management Proven ability to manage teams, projects, and client expectations Good understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, including logic controllers Confident interpreting schematics and technical documentation A proactive, dynamic, and team-oriented mindset Willingness to travel regionally and stay overnight as required Comfortable operating independently in a trust-based, non micromanaged culture By applying to this job advertisement, you confirm you have read and understood our Data Privacy Statement and give Bolt Technical authorisation to hold you provided data.
