About the role:
Within our Financial Services Risk practice, the Banking Non-Financial Risk & Compliance team works with our banking and capital markets clients on their most pressing risk and regulatory programmes. This is an exciting time to join the growing team of over 120 individuals covering retail, wholesale and capital markets. We work across Front Office, Risk, Compliance, Finance and Sustainability functions.

You will be passionate about client service and the fast-paced changing nature of the banking sector. We are particularly interested in individuals who embrace tech-enabled ways of working and are excited about the potential of AI and other transformative technologies.
Recent projects have included:
1. Regulatory and controls reviews and remediation
2. Finance and GRC technology deployment
3. Finance, IA and Compliance function transformation initiatives
4. Retail banking customer redress programmes
5. Sustainability reporting support and operating model design
6. Governance and controls reviews and remediation
7. Design and implementation of 1st and 2nd line Non-Financial Risk functions
What your days will look like:
8. In this role you will be managing and delivering the technology element of implementation programmes and reviews across various technology areas, including but not limited to cloud, data, operational resilience, IT strategy, governance, risk and compliance.
9. You will also be agile to work across a range of different subject and projects such as working with Internal Audit teams on an SME basis and input into Internal Audit reviews.
10. You will also take a leading role across a range of projects to manage diverse teams, contribute and build technical knowledge and be passionate about delivering value and insights to your clients. You'll invest time in building your client relationship network and thrive on taking on new challenges in unfamiliar situations.
This role is for you if you have:
11. Knowledge and experience of vendor GRC platforms ( Workiva, ServiceNow, OpenPages).
12. Experience and passion for designing solution architectures working with business, risk and control function and technology stakeholders to translate business need/requirements into technology solutions.
13. Significant experience working within financial services risk and control technology projects either from a consulting, banking or regulatory background
14. Broad understanding of non-financial risk requirements
15. Significant experience working with senior stakeholders, developing effective working relationships and providing insightful management information
16. Contribution of strong technical knowledge and practical experience related to non-financial risk management, sustainability and/or controls
17. A proven track record of successfully leading workstreams within change or client engagements
18. Experience managing teams of, and coaching, junior members of staff
19. Ability to move between big picture thinking and strong attention to detail
20. Strong commercial awareness in managing transformation projects
21. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to articulate conclusions to senior internal and external personnel
22. Ability to work under pressure, deal with ambiguity and be agile in working in different types of projects across the financial services industry
23. A willingness to learn new skills and help develop and innovate new client propositions

Skills in one or several of the following areas:
24. IT general controls, Operational resilience, Data privacy and data protection controls, Cloud technologies, IT strategy, governance, risk and compliance, Third party security, Software development, Incident response.
25. Experience designing continuous auditing and monitoring tools and techniques is a plus;
26. Technical knowledge and practical experience of SOx-compliant IT controls design, implementation and testing.
27. Experience leveraging technology tools and generative AI in day to day activities, or as part of projects or programmes of work
