We are recruiting an Executive Head Chef for a large and busy events facility. Be part of a newly structured team overseeing a recently refurbished flagship operation. The facility operates 7 days a week, offering restaurant, events, fine dining hospitality, coffee, and vending services. If you thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment, this role is for you!
Job Description
The essential ingredient at the heart of our business is our people. We are searching for an experienced Executive Head Chef with a background in exceptional food catering services to join our team at one of our largest operations.
As an Executive Head Chef, your focus will be to work closely with your teams to develop strong relationships and deliver the best customer service. You should have excellent presentation, organisational, and communication skills, a passion for food and service, and enthusiasm.
Qualifications
* Experience in a similar management environment, assisting the General Manager with all food-related matters
* Proven, hands-on leadership skills, with the ability to develop your team
* Outgoing, vibrant personality with a passion for food and customer service
* Excellent Health & Safety knowledge
* Financial acumen, including GP calculation; strong IT skills
* Innovative, creative, and driven by excellence
* Up-to-date with current food trends
* Relevant culinary qualification (diploma or degree in Culinary Arts)
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior chef role within a high-volume catering environment
* Exceptional culinary skills and knowledge of cuisines and techniques
* Strong menu planning and development skills, capable of creating seasonal dishes
* Experience managing food costs, inventory, and budgets
* Excellent time management and organisational skills, multitasking in a fast-paced setting
* Relevant food safety certifications and understanding of hygiene regulations
* Experience managing and motivating large kitchen teams

* Salary: £48,000 - £50,000 per annum
* Work schedule: 5 days over 7
