Starting Salary: From £31,130 p/a (£16.18 p/h)
Hours: Monday to Friday - Days

iSQ Recruitment are recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter on behalf of a well-established UK manufacturer of packaging machinery. This is a hands-on role within a modern workshop environment, ideal for a skilled fitter who takes pride in build quality and attention to detail.

Our client specialises in the design and build of packaging machinery. They deliver high-quality, engineered solutions to customers across multiple industries and are known for their strong engineering standards and commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

Assemble machinery through to testing, commissioning, and pre-delivery checks
Service, rebuild, and support machinery within the workshop
Manufacture and fit mechanical sub-assemblies, chains, labels, and scales
Identify build issues, complete documentation, and maintain build quality
Support training of new team members and contribute to continuous improvement Key Skills & Experience
Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter within a manufacturing or workshop environment (ideally 3 years +)
Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 2/3 in Mechanical Engineering or similar
Ability to assemble machinery and mechanical sub-assemblies from engineering drawings
Confident using a wide range of hand tools, power tools, and mechanical fixings
Ability to identify build issues, fault-find, and maintain high build quality
Understanding of quality standards, documentation, and safe working practices
