1. Position: Bookkeeper
2. Salary: £26,000 to £35,000 based on level of experience and qualifications
3. Location: Haywards Heath, office based
4. Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm

We are working with a fast-growing full-service accountancy practice to recruit a Bookkeeper for the office in Haywards Heath. The business provides accountancy, taxation, payroll, advisory and financial planning services to thousands of customers including businesses and individuals / sole traders. As a bookkeeper you’ll work with a range of clients and use a variety of accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Freeagent and Clearbooks to conduct various day to day bookkeeping tasks.
As a Bookkeeper your duties will include:
6. Assisting clients with Bookkeeping and software queries
7. Liaising with clients to meet deadlines for all records and timely VAT filing
8. Assist with VAT returns
9. Bookkeeping to trial balance including bank reconciliations, prepayments, accruals etc
10. Completing and filing VAT and CIS returns
Skills & experience required:
11. Strong bookkeeping experience from within an accountancy practice environment
12. AAT qualified or higher
13. Experience with Cloud software such as IRIS and XERO
