Abbott Rapid Diagnostics is part of Abbott’s Diagnostics family of businesses, bringing together exceptional teams of experts and industry leading technologies to support diagnostic testing which provides important information for treatment and management of diseases and other conditions.
The Abbott Rapid Diagnostics Infectious Diseases Division (ARDx) portfolio is centered around ID Now, a fast-growing molecular testing platform capable of testing for Covid-19, Influenza A & B, RSV, and Strep A. It delivers accurate results in minutes, providing healthcare professionals with real-time information to make immediate decisions during the first patient visit. The platform is used in near-patient settings such as Emergency departments, Wards, and Admissions.
Additional products include Binax NOW rapid antigen tests, sexual health testing, and women's health.
We are seeking a Key Account Manager for the Abbott Rapid Diagnostics Division (ARDx).
The territory is North East UK (Cumbria/Lancashire), with potential national responsibilities.
The role involves leading Abbott Rdx's efforts in advancing Point of Care testing for infectious diseases within secondary care, identifying key strategic opportunities in Clinical Diagnostic Centres (CDCs) and community settings. This requires managing diverse stakeholders across NHS, Public Health, and Local Authorities.
What You’ll Do
* Develop markets and customers, achieve sales targets, and manage key accounts
* Lead projects and demonstrate business acumen to meet strategic and financial objectives
* Implement national strategies and build stakeholder relationships
* Establish strong relationships with stakeholders in key accounts
* Participate in sales and marketing meetings
* Translate UK marketing campaigns to regional levels
* Articulate issues and opportunities with customers for strategic growth
* Maintain awareness of the regional strategic landscape and communicate with teams
Required Qualifications
* Proven sales success with strong business and analytical skills
* Experience in medical devices or diagnostics
* Knowledge of diagnostic industry practices is preferred
* Understanding of UK healthcare and NHS
* Ability to build compelling business cases
* Stakeholder coaching and leadership skills
* Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM (Salesforce), and Power BI
