The Role
As a Sales Assistant/Driver, you’ll support your store team by driving sales performance and managing daily store operations. You’ll deliver exceptional customer service to optimise KPI performance. This role involves meeting and talking to different customers daily, offering more than just driving — it’s about helping others and delivering great service with a smile. It’s hands-on, physical, and varied.
Key Responsibilities
Our customers are at the heart of everything we do. You’ll be an ambassador for your store, supporting the team to deliver an outstanding shopping experience.
We are looking for people who:
1. Drive store performance by maximising sales opportunities and supporting your team to meet and exceed targets through focusing on KPI delivery.
2. Deliver market-leading customer service to foster business growth through customer loyalty and repeat purchases.
3. Offer VIP concierge services, actively contacting customers with updates on products and tastings.
4. Share your passion for products through in-depth knowledge of our range, selling the story, not just discounts.
5. Take ownership of your wine knowledge, supporting your WSET qualification and confidence in selling.
6. Maintain the physical appearance and cleanliness of your store, both internally and externally.
7. Participate in operational tasks such as delivering wine, merchandising stock, and calling customers to drive sales.
8. Identify opportunities for improvement and feed ideas back to your team for implementation.
9. Ensure compliance with internal policies, safety, and legal requirements.
10. Be a role model for Majestic’s Ways of Working and support junior team members.
11. As a key holder, understand opening and closing procedures and operate the store independently if needed.
12. Willingness to deliver wine locally using company vans if required.
Knowledge & Skills Required
* Excellent time management, delegation, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to deliver exceptional customer experience and service.
* Self-motivated, capable of working independently and as part of a team.
* Positive attitude with a passion for problem-solving.
* Adaptable and resilient to changing business demands.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Wine knowledge is beneficial; passion to learn more is essential to achieve Level 2 WSET qualifications.
* Hold a full UK/EU/EEA driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.

Job Specifics:
* Contract: Fixed Term for 3 months.
* Hours: 16 hours per week.
