Pay & Hours – Full Time Shop Management
The Shop Manager role offers a salary of up to £34k per annum, depending on succesful candidate's experience. Shop Manager is contracted on 42 hours weekly, over 5 days (Monday to Sunday). Early opening times apply, but we are open to discussing flexible working hours to help accommodate your needs wherever possible.
Key Responsibilities – Shop Manager Role at Wenzel’s, Denham
* Lead, inspire and develop a high-performing team, upholding excellent standards of customer service and food quality.
* Drive branch sales and achieve profitability targets through effective cost management and business growth strategies.
* Oversee all aspects of shop operations: food production, stock management, merchandising and cash handling.
* Deliver Wenzel’s high standard of fresh food preparation and displays, ensuring compliance with all health, safety and food hygiene regulations.
* Manage opening and closing procedures, and confidently run shifts throughout the week.
* Recruit, train and motivate team members, nurturing talent and supporting career development.
* Monitor product quality, control waste and minimise losses through strong operational processes.
* Champion a positive work environment with a strong focus on team and community engagement.
What We Are Looking For – Skills & Experience
* Previous experience in retail management, hospitality or a similar fast-paced customer service environment.
* Proven ability to lead, motivate and supervise a diverse team.
* Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
* Pride in delivering outstanding service and quality products consistently.
* Reliable, trustworthy, and flexible with working hours.
* Experience in food production or retail baking is advantageous but not required, as full training is provided.
