Welcome from the Principal
I am proud to introduce you to Outwood Academy Valley, a school where excellence, innovation, and opportunity create an outstanding learning environment for both students and staff. We are situated at the heart of the community in Worksop, the "Gateway to the Dukeries".
We are deeply committed to putting students first, raising standards, and transforming lives. We believe learning should be enjoyable and enriching, allowing students to make exceptional progress through our knowledge-rich, personalised curriculum. Our Performing Arts Department is a particular area of excellence.
We value and invest in our staff, offering high-quality professional development and a collaborative environment. We operate as a supportive school family, celebrating successes and working together with a shared sense of purpose.
About the Department
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of Music to join our current team across Outwood Academy Valley and Worksop Post 16 Centre.
We aim to appoint a music specialist with the skills and passion to be an active member in this popular area of the curriculum, an outstanding classroom teacher with high standards in behaviour and quality of work, and who will maintain the success and stability of our valued department.
The academy is proud of the quality of its school productions and performing arts. The success of the yearly productions is well received within the local community, and the regular music concerts showcase amazing talent. The successful applicant must be committed to extra-curricular music, developing both soloists and ensembles, and understanding how music can create some of the best experiences a student may have in the year.
Applications are invited from both newly qualified and experienced professionals.
