Contracts Manager - Commercial Construction
Location: Bury St Edmunds | Salary: £60-£65k + package
About the Role
Our client, a leading commercial construction firm renowned for delivering complex, high-quality projects, is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive professional to take ownership of contract management across multiple commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the preparation, review, and negotiation of contracts (JCT, NEC, FIDIC, etc.).
* Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and manage variations, claims, and disputes.
* Work closely with project managers, estimators, and procurement teams to mitigate risks.
* Maintain detailed records and provide contractual advice to senior management.
* Support project delivery by identifying potential risks and solutions proactively.
Ideal Candidate
* Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within commercial construction.
* Strong knowledge of construction contracts and industry best practices.
* Exceptional negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with attention to detail.
* Relevant qualifications in construction management, law, or a related field are preferred.
