This role is responsible for setup and maintenance of seating systems level 4 VITAL rigs, including software & CCF updates, system level test support, rig issue investigation & resolution - and communication of rig status to all stakeholders.
Key Performance Indicators
* RIG tasks are always up-to-date and status known
* Challenges with the RIG are being highlighted in time for proper resolution
* Adhere to and support the defined clients testing procedures
* Report issues, debug them and track resolution status
* Support and adapt to test plans for current and upcoming programmes
* Liaise with other RIG engineers to understand new SW deliverables, known issues and how to overcome them
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
* Understand electrical architecture and testing plans of current and future seating programmes and adapt it to the RIG set-up needs, including wiring diagrams
* Integrate and verify ECUs and other seating related components on the RIGs
* Update DSpace models for CAN and Ethernet simulations or logging
* Flash new software on different ECUs on the RIG, including mapping of different programmes CCFs
* Perform high level checks and testing of the seating functionality on the RIG
* Support the team regarding CAN and Ethernet logging
* Keep track of the status of the RIG, from component variants up until software variants
* Cross-squads collaboration for testing asset set-ups, automation of test cases and execution
* Issue resolution in time and with good quality
* Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential:
* Level 4 VITAL RIG set-up experience
* Relevant experience with SW flashing, taking logs and issues debugging
* Ability to analyse technical problems and provide pragmatic solutions
* Positive attitude, proactivity and willingness to get involved
* Ability to communicate with a wide range of audiences on sometimes complex issues, topics and engineering principles and practices.
* UDS, XCP, CAN, LIN, Ethernet protocols
Desirable:
* Familiarity with Agile & Scrum methodologies
* Working experience in Systems Engineering “V-Model” specifically requirements-based testing and design verification and validation
