Male Support Worker - Challenging Behaviour

Location: Kennington, Oxfordshire, OX1
Salary: £26,325 per year (£13.50 per hour) plus benefits
Hours: Up to 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Sunday on a 12 hours shift rota basis

We are on the lookout for Support Workers who are calm, patient, and resilient. You will need to be able to drive and have a consistent approach to assisting the person we support to engage in the interests he loves.
Furthermore, as Support Worker you will be responsible for:
1. Daily activities such as personal care; laundry; meal preparation; medication and administration
2. Working closely with Positive Behaviour Specialist to ensure we are following the PBS plan
3. Getting to know the person you will support and help them to live the life they want to live
4. Taking personal responsibility for the quality of care and assistance delivered to the person you will care for
5. Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the person you will take care of
6. Helping the person you will assist plan towards and achieve both short and long term aims
7. Planning and be in favour of activities, such as learning and social engagements always being creative and exploring new opportunities
8. Assisting the person, you will assist to manage their personal affairs making, preparing for, and attending any appointments
9. Ensuring the person, you will assist and his family is treated with respect, dignity, and equality

We are looking for someone who can devote to 37.5 hours per week and are willing to work on a 12 hours shift rota basis, covering mornings, evenings, and weekends.
