We are hiring multiple Senior Project Managers to join our client's dynamic team on a permanent basis. About the Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of complex infrastructure projects across the utilities, water, and wider civil infrastructure sectors. This role will involve managing large-scale capital delivery programmes, overseeing multidisciplinary teams, and collaborating with clients, contractors, consultants, and key stakeholders to deliver projects safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. The successful candidate will support the delivery of critical infrastructure projects including water treatment plants, wastewater networks, utilities upgrades, energy infrastructure, pipeline projects, and associated civils works. Key Responsibilities Lead the delivery of infrastructure projects from feasibility and design through to construction and handover. Manage project governance, programme controls, budgets, risks, and stakeholder engagement activities. Deliver projects in line with client objectives, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements. Build and maintain strong client relationships across utilities, water, and infrastructure sectors. Administer contracts acting as Project Manager, Contract Administrator and/or Employer's Agent. Oversee multidisciplinary project teams including engineering consultants, contractors, and specialist suppliers. Monitor project performance including cost, schedule, risk, change management, and quality assurance. Produce and present project reports, commercial updates, and programme reviews to senior stakeholders. Support procurement activities, tender evaluations, and contractor management processes. Lead project meetings, workshops, and governance reviews. Mentor and support junior project management professionals and graduates. Ensure compliance with health & safety standards, CDM regulations, and industry best practice. Support business development activities including bid preparation and framework submissions. Experience, Knowledge & Skills Strong project management experience delivering utilities, water, wastewater, energy, or civil infrastructure projects. Experience managing projects throughout the full project lifecycle within regulated infrastructure environments. Strong understanding of NEC and/or JCT contracts and contract administration duties. Knowledge of programme management methodologies, project controls, and governance frameworks. Experience managing capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects and infrastructure investment programmes. Strong commercial awareness including budgeting, forecasting, cost management, and change control. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across client, contractor, and consultant teams. Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering and construction environments. Strong understanding of risk management, project planning, and delivery assurance processes. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project. Experience using project management and reporting tools such as Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject, or similar platforms is advantageous. Qualifications (Desirable): Degree qualified in Project Management, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Engineering Management, Quantity Surveying, or related discipline. Professional membership such as: MAPM - Member of the Association for Project Management MRICS - Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors MCIOB - Member of the Chartered Institute of Building MICE - Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers Chartered Project Professional (ChPP) PRINCE2 Practitioner and/or MSP certification desirable.
