Here at Principal Resourcing, we offer a diverse, welcoming, and supportive educational experience for Support Staff seeking a new challenge.We have an exciting opportunity for a Cover Supervisor to join the staff team at one of our partnership Secondary Schools based in Barnsley (S73).You will provide full-time teaching cover in the absence of the Class Teacher across a variety of KS3/4 subjects.The role is expected to commence September 2025 and has the potential to become permanent for the right applicant.The Secondary Academy is part of the Astrea Academy Trust, offering a diverse and challenging learning experience for students aged 11-16 years. They are seeking a passionate Cover Supervisor to join their staff team, enabling positive change and progression for all students.
We offer competitive rates of pay up to £100, depending on your experience and the role requirements.
Your role as a Cover Supervisor:
* Deliver subjects in the teacher absence
* Adapt to the diverse needs of students within your care.
* Maintain strong classroom management & promote high standards for learning.
* Support students to positively progress, through suitable intervention.
* Collaborate effectively as part of a positive and child-centred staff team.
We are seeking applicants with:
* A full and relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
* Must hold GCSE Maths, English, Science (C or above) or equivalent
* Confidence, inclusivity, and passion for supporting pupil progression.
* Strong subject knowledge and familiarity with the UK Curriculum.
* An enhanced DBS disclosure or be willing to obtain one through us.
* Right to Work in the UK, unfortunately we are unable to offer Visa Sponsorship.
