The role
As a Baseband Security Engineer, you will design and implement security & networking solutions, supporting handover to operational support, across multi-supplier/multi-platform environments. You will support the delivery of Security Architectures/Strategies within a broader Enterprise and IS/IT Architecture.
You will be responsible for:
1. Designing and implementing security & networking solutions, supporting handover to operational support in multi-supplier/multi-platform environments.
2. Supporting the delivery of Security Architectures/Strategies as part of a broader Enterprise and IS/IT Architecture.
3. Interpreting and applying standards, policies, and legislation with Information Assurance (IA) leads.
4. Applying principles of secure networks, applications, gateways & interfaces across the estate.
5. Evaluating new technologies and conducting cost-benefit analyses for business use cases.
6. Producing, peer-reviewing, and maintaining technical documentation and network schematics.
This role is full-time, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, based at Hawthorn, with regular travel to other sites.
Essential experience
* Experience with Cisco network and security technologies in enterprise environments.
* Valid CCNP Security or CCNP Routing & Switching Certification.
* Experience with Cisco ASA & Firepower, including DMVPN, VPN, AMP & IPS – SSE & ISE.
* Experience with Cisco Catalyst Core, Catalyst Manager, LAN Access Switching, WAN (SDA – SD-WAN Fabric deployment essential).
* Strong understanding of Cisco ASR/ISR Routing.
Qualifications
* CCNP Security or CCNP Routing & Switching Certification.
* HNC (Level 4) or equivalent in a STEM subject.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain DV security clearance.
