 
        
        Principal Application Engineer
Irvine, CA
As the Principal Application Engineer, you will lead the technical engineering for the company's material products. You will be responsible for developing in-depth application knowledge for the company's Electronics markets.
Primary responsibilities include:
 1. technical leadership on developmental and commercialized products by optimizing material application processes and directly interacting with customers to troubleshoot and solve product and process-related problems.
 2. You will ensure that new and existing products can be successfully employed by customers in a manner that brings clear and identifiable value.
 3. You will solve technology-specific fundamental problems associated with entire product lines and/or product classes using novel approaches to application process development, troubleshooting, and material characterization.
Qualifications 
 4. Minimum of a master’s degree in Material Science/Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or other related fields, with 10+ years of experience working in a semiconductor environment.
 5. A good understanding of the latest Semiconductor Power Packaging trends, including high thermal adhesives with sintering experience, is a plus.
 6. Further knowledge of statistical analysis and design of experiment (DOE) is needed.
 7. You should have strong verbal communication skills, both one-on-one with colleagues/customers and in front of groups, with solid interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a team member and independently on multi-task assignments.
 8. This role requires a strong sense of ownership and responsibility with a customer-oriented mindset and a good understanding of customer requests and culture.
 9. You must have the ability to successfully handle on-site support of complex customer issues.
 10. Traveling of up to 10% is required for this role.
