Job Title: Lead PE Teacher
Location: Belmont Secondary School, Rawtenstall, BB4 6RX
Salary: up to £35,000 per annum depending on experience and qualifications (not pro rata)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only

Due to growth in service, we are recruiting a Lead PE Teacher with experience in delivering inclusive and innovative PE education at Belmont Secondary School.
About The Role
As the Lead PE Teacher at Belmont School, you will be responsible for delivering inclusive, responsive, and innovative teaching and learning within the PE curriculum to both primary and secondary students. You will lead and develop the delivery of BTEC Sport to Key Stage 4 students, striving to produce outstanding/good teaching and learning to ensure all learners succeed.
The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team, carrying out professional duties as set out in school policies. They will teach in accordance with the school’s ethos, organization, and policies as a committed member of the teaching team.
You will have excellent subject knowledge of the PE curriculum, including BTEC Sport, and the ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated, and innovative lessons that meet all learners’ needs.
Strong assessment and data analysis skills to track progress, identify gaps, and implement interventions are essential, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
