The IT Infrastructure Manager is responsible for maintaining and maturing all elements of IT Infrastructure to deliver IT Infrastructure services to the business. You will be responsible for the management and mentoring a team of technical staff that provides a service that truly supports the business. To be effective you must display the right balance between cost, service quality and agility for the business.
Your Core Responsibilities
* Develop, plan, build and optimise IT Infrastructure, particularly data centre technologies
* Ensure incident and problems management processes are mature with strong communication plans
* Manage and cultivate a high-performing team, investing the time to ensure efficient team utilisation and productivity; and that project management methodologies are upheld where appropriate to these teams and workloads
* Deliver IT Infrastructure projects successfully, ensuring delivery within agreed timescales, scope and budgets
* Report on all projects within the Infrastructure projects queue ensuring a high level dashboard is available highlighting risk, budget discrepancies and successes
* Develop, measure and monitor IT system availability and performance standards
* Manage IT service performance, availability and capacity; Ensure data centre capacity is measured providing capacity reports and appropriate availability in line with demand forecasting
* Demonstrate and test service continuity plans and ensure systems perform to agreed RPO and RTO recovery times
Our Essential Requirements
* TIL v3 foundation level minimum
* Over five years IT experience, preferably in a management or architect position
* Proven experience with Infrastructure design and decision making
* Proven ability to inspire and mentor high performance team
* Ability to manage transition and deliver technology solutions
* Ability to develop a comprehensive understanding of all Biffa business plans, and relate that knowledge to identified operational and IT related initiative
