Job role:
To load appliances and/or kitchen units onto DBD transportation and then unload at site in to pre-agreed plots – ensuring relevant processes and policies are followed throughout. Ensuring you represent DBD in a professional, friendly and flexible manner at all times.
Who are we looking for?
* Should be methodical with attention to detail for accurate load/delivery checking. You need to ensure the correct appliances have been loaded so must be focused at all times.
* Positive & self-motivated with a 'Can Do' attitude to overcome obstacles when they arise.
* Logical approach – to review a situation calmly and establish the best way forward engaging with the relevant department.
* Confident & professional with customer facing experience to ensure every interaction has a positive outcome.
* Demonstrate advanced & safe loading skills and a careful nature to avoid any health and safety hazards.
* Hold a CSCS card – desirable but not essential.
Responsibilities:
* Check appliances against picking list, loading correct appliances and ensuring load is secure.
* Report any shortages to the relevant department in a timely manner.
* Ensure necessary tools/equipment to carry out the load/load-out at on the correct vehicle.
* Carry out necessary pre-plot checks before loading out to correct plots as per paperwork.
* Communicate effectively with driver/installers to ensure paperwork is updated accurately and job is completed professionally.
* Ensure damaged appliances are not loaded out but returned to DBD
* Carry out necessary paperwork/administration when back at head office and prepare vehicle for following day.
* Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times.
