We are recruiting x Full-time Court of Protection Deprivation of Liberty Social Worker positions.
Please note these posts are borough-wide; the team will be based at the Portal Ellesmere Port and HQ in Chester. Workers will be expected to operate across the entire council footprint, completing COP DoL applications within adult social care, with relevant experience and knowledge of the process.

We seek dedicated, motivated team players to join us as Best Interest Assessors or Experienced Social Workers, leading COP DOL cases across our adult teams.

You will have:
* CQSW/CSS/Diploma/Degree in Social Work or equivalent (Essential)
* At least X years post-qualifying experience (Essential)
* Social Work England Registration (Essential)
* Enhanced DBS and Adults Barred List checks (Essential)
* Knowledge of social work policies and recent service developments.
* Effective communication skills with clients, families, and colleagues.
* Resilience and adaptability to change.
* Understanding of multidisciplinary and integrated approaches.
* Ability to assess and support plan within relevant legislation.
* Energetic, confident, and sensitive approach.
* Motivated to make a difference in adult social care.
* Stress management skills.
Role-specific requirements include:
* Best Interest Assessor qualification and relevant experience (desirable)
* Significant social work experience, including progression to advanced roles.
* Experience with Court of Protection applications.
* Ability to prioritize workload and make liberty decisions.
* Excellent interpersonal and IT skills, with report writing capability.
* Strong knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act, DoLS, and related legislation.
