Family Support Lead – Grade 6
Salary: £33,699 (pro rata salary £29,242 for hours worked each week and the number of weeks worked each year)
Working hours: Monday – Thursday 7:45am to 3:45pm; Friday 7:45am – 3:15pm. Flexibility required with daily hours of work.

About the role
As our Family Support Lead, you’ll play a key role in:
* Acting as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL)
* Leading early help assessments and multi‑agency interventions
* Supporting pupils’ emotional wellbeing through nurture groups and restorative practices
* Building strong relationships with families through outreach, home visits, and parenting support
* Promoting positive attendance and punctuality
* Coordinating extended services and signposting families to external support
About you
* Calm, empathetic, and well‑organised
* Experienced in trauma‑informed and restorative practices
* Skilled in multi‑agency working and safeguarding procedures
* Confident in engaging families and supporting children’s wellbeing
* Digitally literate and familiar with CPOMS and Microsoft Office
Desirable qualifications and experience
* Level 3+ in Childcare, Social Work, or related field
* Mental Health First Aid
* Experience delivering parenting programmes (e.g., Triple P, Solihull)
* Knowledge of SEND and inclusive education practices
