We require that candidates for this role be flexible, have good troubleshooting skills and be willing to assist in a number of areas including support, development, customer service and some project work.
Commencing in June 2026, this role will be responsible for the configuration, implementation, operation and maintenance of the Colleges computer equipment and networks, as well as providing cross-college technical, hardware and software support for equipment and facilities in order to ensure an excellent service to students and staff. This includes supporting desktop and laptop users working in both windows and apple mac environments, Printing, Audio Visual, BYOD & telephones.
As an IT Services Technician, you will act as a friendly first point of contact for both students and staff. As part of a customer focused and service orientated team, you will be assisting in the configuration, implementation, operation and maintenance of the College's IT Hardware, Software and Networks. Our friendly, diligent IT Services department provides practical technical assistance to both our Students and Staff, ensuring that all the Colleges technical requirements are fully met.
Long Road is a thriving, successful post-16 Sixth Form College with 2,600 students on roll across a variety of studies.
